Beauregard Named Northeast-10 Baseball Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior first baseman/pitcher Eddy Beauregard (Paxton/Wachusett Reg. HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Player of the Week following an outstanding week of performances in Florida.

It's the third time in four weeks that a Falcon has earned the award with Beauregard following Liam Sears (March 6) and Stan DeMartinis III (Feb. 27).

Beauregard had a .500/.545/.889 slash line while helping Bentley to a 3-2 week. He had multiple hits in four of five games, the lone exception coming in a 22-2 win over Alliance, and drove in a total of ten runs, including four in an 11-9 win over Adelphi. Beauregard also homered during a two-hit, three-RBI afternoon against St. Cloud State. The week also included Beauregard pitching the Falcons to a 4-1 win over Caldwell. In six innings, he allowed five hits and one run.

Beauregard leads the NE10 in slugging (.872), is tied for the lead in home runs (5), and is second in batting average (.489) and on base percentage (.545). In the NCAA Division II statistics, he is seventh in hitting, ninth in slugging, 22nd in hits per game, 27th in on base percentage and tied for 27th in home runs per game.

Last year, in his first Bentley season after transferring from Stonehill, Beauregard hit .289 with five home runs and 39 RBI.

Bentley, 8-5 with a three-game winning streak, is scheduled to open conference play during a four-game series at Assumption University this weekend.
