David Scholnick has been named the first head coach of the Bentley University women’s golf team, which will make its debut as the university’s 24th varsity sport this coming fall. The announcement was made Monday by Vaughn Williams, Director of Athletics at Bentley.

For the seventh consecutive year, Bentley University student-athletes have the highest graduation rate in the nation at 99%, according to the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report. Bentley was one of only two schools with this top graduation percentage out of more than 300 colleges and universities.

Bentley University is adding women’s golf as a varsity sport, providing more opportunities for female student-athletes to compete and follow their athletic passion on an intercollegiate level. Women’s golf will be the university’s 12th varsity athletic program for female student-athletes and 24th varsity program overall.
