Thakkar and Gordon Named Interim Head Coaches for Football and Women’s Soccer

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Sajan Thakkar and Danielle Gordon have been named the interim head coaches for football and women's soccer at Bentley University. Thakkar, Bentley's current offensive coordinator, previously coached at Harvard University, SUNY Maritime College and Fitchburg State University. Gordon has been an assistant woman's soccer coach at Bentley for five years. A former Division I standout, she played collegiately for Boston College and Northeastern University. 

Thakkar and Gordon will replace Alvin Reynolds and Lauren Lukis, who stepped down this spring. Athletics Director Vaughn Williams thanked them for their service and said a national search will be conducted to identify permanent successors. 

Bentley Athletics includes 23 varsity sports with over 500 student-athletes, offering a competitive experience that enriches their educational experience. For six years in a row, Bentley student-athletes have earned the highest graduation rate in the nation at 99%, according to the NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report. Bentley's rate is far above the national average of 76%.
