32 Falcons Receive Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence from NE10

Thirty-two recent Bentley University graduates are among the first-ever recipients of the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence, an honor awarded to graduating senior student-athletes for their outstanding work in the classroom during their college careers.
Record 466 Bentley Student-Athletes Qualify for the NE10 Academic Honor Roll

The Northeast-10 Conference announced its Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2020 semester on Monday with the list of honorees including 466 Bentley University student-athletes, by far the most in conference history. They were recognized for achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or better during the semester.
NE-10 Cancels Plan to Hold Fall Sports Competitions this Spring

The Northeast-10 Conference Council of Presidents announced that it has canceled plans to reschedule intercollegiate fall 2020 athletics competitions to this spring due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The affected sports are men’s and women’s soccer and cross country as well as football, field hockey and volleyball.
Bentley Receives NCAA Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for 10th Straight Year

Bentley University, which topped NCAA Division II in academic success rate for the fourth consecutive year, has once again received the NCAA Division II Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. There are over 300 Division II institutions and the Falcons are one of only ten to earn the accolade every year in the program’s 10-year history.

On November 23, 2013, just 25 months after running her first-ever cross country race, Bentley junior Tara Dooley finished fourth in the 2013 NCAA Division II Championships in Spokane, Wash. It was the highest individual finish in an NCAA championship competition ever by a Bentley student-athlete.
Make It 4 in a Row! Bentley Student-Athletes Again Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in this year’s NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, an honor it achieved for the fourth consecutive year. In Tuesday’s announcement from the NCAA, Bentley was the only institution to record an ASR of 99 for the third straight year. This also marks the seventh straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the tenth straight it was been above 90.

On November 10, 2013, Bentley junior Tara Dooley pulled away from teammate and runner-up Amy Varsell late to capture the 2013 NCAA Division II East Regional championship by nearly 37 seconds at Franklin Park.

The 148 honorees was the second most for any institution in the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Region, as well as the 11th highest total nationally. Putting that into perspective, there are more than 300 Division II institutions across the country.
