Coskren Leads Bentley during UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior Danielle Coskren (North Andover/North Andover HS) was the first Bentley University women's cross country runner to reach the finish line as four members of the team competed in the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational Saturday.

Coskren registered her best 5,000-meter time of her career as she finished in 20:09.96 to place 80th among 315 runners.

Also cracking the top 100 for the Falcons was junior Mary Leach (Peabody/Peabody Veterans HS). She placed 98th in 20:24.23, improving on her 2014 finish (123rd) and time (20:38.6) from the same meet a year ago when she was running for UMass-Dartmouth.

The race was won by East Stroudsburg's Allison Decker, who finished in 17:40.82 to take individual honors by nearly 19 seconds.

Next Saturday, Bentley will be out in the midwest for the University of Minnesota's prestigious Ray Griak Invitational.
