Brennan Top Runner for Bentley Women at NCAA East Regional

NASHUA, N.H. – Sarah Brennan (Quincy, Mass./Notre Dame Acad.) was the top finisher the Bentley University women's cross country team during the NCAA Division II East Regional with the junior placing 37th in 23:07.0 over the 6,000-meter Mine Falls Park Course Saturday afternoon.

Bentley's number two runner was freshman Caroline Conrad (Bedford, N.H./Bedford HS), who was 50th in 23:34.4.

Also for Bentley, sophomore Danielle Coskren (North Andover, Mass./North Andover HS) was 84th (24:22.6), freshman Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) 98th (24:43.6) and sophomore Katie Burke (Braintree, Mass./Braintree HS) 101st (24:44.8). A total of 191 participated in the 27-team race.

As a team, Bentley finished in 13th place with a score of 362. Division II newcomer Roberts Wesleyan was at the top of the leaderboard, besting runner-up Stonehill College by 14, 31-45.

Roberts Wesleyan also had the individual champion, senior Rachel Prutsman. She finished in 21:36.0, winning by 5.3 seconds over LIU Post's Talya Williams.

With the above-mentioned top five and the return of All-America Tara Dooley, next year looks promising for the Falcons.
