Brennan & Coskren Lead Bentley Women during Codfish Bowl

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Sarah Brennan (North Quincy/Notre Dame Acad.)and freshman Danielle Coskren (North Andover/North Andover HS) were the top finishers for the Bentley University women's cross country team during the 33rd annual Codfish Bowl Saturday morning at Franklin Park.

Brennan finished 32nd overall with a 5,000-meter time of 20:46, and Coskren finished four seconds and three places later.

Bentley, which didn't run its top four, was eighth among 11 teams in the team standings, with a score of 203. Stonehill, with eight of the top 12 finishers, cruised to the team championship with a margin of 73 over second-place Merrimack.

The individual champion was Anoush Shehadeh of Phillips Andover, with a time of 18:14.

Bentley will be off until Oct. 12 when the New Englands are contested at Franklin Park.
