Segaline & Murphy Selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District® Honors

Recent Bentley University graduate Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./ Desert Mountain HS) and teammate Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS), a rising junior, have been selected for the 2020-21 CoSIDA Division II Academic All-District® 1 women’s volleyball team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
NE-10 Cancels Plan to Hold Fall Sports Competitions this Spring

The Northeast-10 Conference Council of Presidents announced that it has canceled plans to reschedule intercollegiate fall 2020 athletics competitions to this spring due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The affected sports are men’s and women’s soccer and cross country as well as football, field hockey and volleyball.
Bentley Receives NCAA Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for 10th Straight Year

Bentley University, which topped NCAA Division II in academic success rate for the fourth consecutive year, has once again received the NCAA Division II Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence. There are over 300 Division II institutions and the Falcons are one of only ten to earn the accolade every year in the program’s 10-year history.

Senior All-Conference outside hitter Dani Milner made a season-high 21 kills and combined with sophomore forward Shannon Ngo and senior All-Conference middle Rachel Bruno for 47 kills and only four errors as top-seeded Bentley outlasted number four Saint Anselm in five sets in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Women's Volleyball Championships at the Dana Center.
Make It 4 in a Row! Bentley Student-Athletes Again Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in this year’s NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, an honor it achieved for the fourth consecutive year. In Tuesday’s announcement from the NCAA, Bentley was the only institution to record an ASR of 99 for the third straight year. This also marks the seventh straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the tenth straight it was been above 90.

On November 15, 2019, senior Dani Milner celebrated Senior Day with 16 kills and freshman Ingrid Murphy added 13 as the Bentley Falcons wrapped up their first outright Northeast-10 Conference regular season volleyball championship since 2005 with a three-set sweep of Pace at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-19.

Junior middle hitter Savannah Dominguez hit .556 and finished with 11 kills and four service aces as Bentley swept Adelphi in Northeast-10 Conference Senior Day women's volleyball action at the Dana Center. The scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-17.
On This Day, 2014: Bentley Sweeps Le Moyne on Senior Day to Gain Share of NE-10 Title

On November 8, 2014, the Bentley Falcons swept Le Moyne, 3-0, to capture a share of the Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball regular season championship at the Dana Center. The scores of the Senior Day victory were 25-10, 25-15 and 25-22.

As part of its 40 Outstanding Individuals series, the Northeast-10 recognized the late Sandy Hoffman today. Sandy was Bentley's very successful volleyball coach from 1982-2013 and a 2014 inductee into the AVCA Hall of Fame

On October 1, 2019, the Bentley University Falcons closed with seven unanswered points to defeat Saint Anselm College in Northeast-10 women's volleyball in Manchester, N.H. and extend their winning streak to seven matches. The Falcons, who trailed the final set 11-8 before the strong finish, took the match by scores of 25-21, 27-25, 23-25, 16-25 and 15-11.
On This Day, 2013: Hoffman Posts 750th Career Win as Bentley Tops St. Michael’s

On September 29, 2013, with a 3-1 win over St. Michael’s at the Dana Center, Sandy Hoffman recorded her 750th career victory as Bentley’s women’s volleyball coach. The legendary Falcon coach became the first volleyball coach in New England history to reach that milestone as well as only the 26th in NCAA history at any level.
