Bruno Named 2nd-Team All-Conference; Burbage Receives All-Rookie Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight year, Bentley University co-captain and junior middle blocker Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) has been voted to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Women's Volleyball second team.

Also recognized by the conference, with selection to the All-Rookie Team, was sophomore hitter Mallory Burbage (Bow Mar, Colo./Littleton HS).

Bruno posted the third best hitting percentage in program history with her mark of .370 currently ranking second in the conference and the East Region, as well as 32nd nationally in Division II. Her career success rate of .334 is the second highest in Bentley history.

Bruno is also sixth in the conference in blocks (0.84) and led the team in that category, as well as kills (2.55) and service aces (33). She had 10 or more kills a dozen times, a career-high eight blocks twice and three marches with 20 or more points.

Burbage, after injuries kept her on the sidelines a year ago, averaged 2.12 kills, 3.04 digs, 0.34 blocks and 2.54 points. She had double-figure kills eight times, with a high of 20 against Post University, and five double-doubles.

Bentley finished the season with records of 11-17 overall and 7-7 Northeast-10.
