RINDGE, N.H. – Four players recorded at least ten kills and five made at least that many digs as the Bentley University women's volleyball team used a team effort to register a 3-1 victory over Franklin Pierce University Wednesday night in its Northeast-10 Conference opener at the FPU Fieldhouse. The scores were 20-25, 25-20, 25-11 and 25-17.

The win was the Falcons' fourth straight and boosted Bentley to 5-6 on the season, including 4-2 in regional competition. Franklin Pierce, which was also opening its NE10 schedule, fell to 3-11 overall.

Freshman Shannon Ngo (San Rafael, Calif./Terra Linda HS) had an outstanding hitting night, finishing with a career-best 16 kills and only one error in 25 swings. Junior co-captain Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) hit .370 with 14 kills and the Falcons received ten kills apiece from freshman Amanda Parker (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North HS) and sophomore Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS).

Segaline (11 digs) and Parker (13 digs) both achieved double-doubles as did senior co-captain Krista Campbell (Newtown, Pa./Council Rocks North HS). Campbell assisted on 50 of the Falcons' 58 kills and also filled the stat sheet with 15 digs, three blocks, two kills and two aces.

Bentley's 69 digs also included 13 apiece from junior Emily Barthelmes (Buchanan, N.Y./ Hendrick Hudson HS) and sophomore Mallory Burbage (Bow Mar, Colo./Littleton HS), the reigning NE10 Rookie of the Week.

Bentley started fast, vaulting out to an 8-1 lead in the opening set. The Ravens battled back to claim at 25-20 win. The Falcons counted in the second by an identical score and dominated the final two by hitting .448 with 30 kills and only four aces.

After matches in New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut and New Hampshire over a span of 13 days, Bentley will open its home schedule Friday night with a non-conference match against the University of Bridgeport (7 pm).
