SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Despite the first 20-20 performance by a Bentley University player in more than three years, the Falcons dropped a hard-fought five-setter to Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball Friday evening on Ted Grant Court.

Bentley, ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II East Region this week, slipped to 16-9 overall and 7-4 conference with the 25-21, 23-25, 26-24, 22-25, 15-9 loss. Le Moyne, the ninth-ranked team in the region, climbed over .500 to 12-11 overall and improved to 5-6 in conference.

Bentley sophomore outside hitter Dani Miller (Plano, Texas/Greenhill School) recorded 20 kills in a career-best 75 attacks and also gave her team 22 digs. She was followed in the hitting category by classmate Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Frances Parker School), who hit .387 with 15 kills and four blocks.

The Falcons totaled 111 digs, their highest total in three years, with four players making at least 17. Milner's 22 was matched by senior libero Celia Cristofoli (Fort Collins, Colo./Hudson (Ohio) HS), senior outside Shannon Kelly (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt HS) followed with 19, and sophomore Emily Barthelmes (Buchanan, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson HS) provided a career-best 17.

In the decisive fifth set, the Dolphins jumped out to a 7-3 lead and never looked back. The Falcons got within two at 8-6 before the home team ran off four unanswered. Le Moyne hit .393 in the set with its 13 kills including four apiece from senior Danica Durdines (Alta Loma, Calif.) and sophomore Jacquelyne Ghindia (Mission Viejo, Calif.).

Le Moyne's 75 kills included 21 from Ghinida, who hit a blistering .465, and 19 from Dardines, who swung at a .385 success rate. Three players had at least 24 digs for the Dolphins, including junior Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y.) who had 30 of her team's 129.

Bentley will be back in action Saturday afternoon with a 1 pm match-up in Albany, N.Y. at the College of Saint Rose.
