MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Tatiana Froehlich (Newton, Mass./Newton North HS) put down 14 kills and registered five digs as Bentley University overcame an opening set loss to extend its winning streak to four, 3-1 over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball Tuesday night at the SNHU Field House.

After the Penmen pulled out a 27-25 decision in the opener, the Falcons answered with a 25-23 victory in the second and took charge of the match with a 25-9 thrashing in the third, a set in which the visitors ran off the first 12 points.

The dominating stretch featured Froehlich and classmate Savannah Dominguez (Miami, Fla./ Palmer Trinity School). Froehlich had three kills, Dominguez had two and the duo combined on a block.

Bentley used another run, this time 8-0, to open up a 21-13 lead in the fourth after the two teams were even at 13. That surge included three kills from sophomore Lauren Van Buren (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa HS).

Libero Lauren Colasanti (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) and setter Alex Tator (Los Angeles, Calif./Marlborough School) each achieved milestones during the victory with both coming in the third set. Colasanti (26 digs) became the third player in program history to amass 1,500 career digs and Tator (39 assists, 17 digs) surpassed 2,500 career assists, becoming the ninth Falcon to do so.

Dominguez followed Froelich on the kill list with nine and also was part of seven blocks. Junior Jessica Segal (West Harrison, N.Y./Harrison HS) also played a role with four of Bentley's eight aces and ten digs. As a team, Bentley had 84 digs, its third highest total of the season.

Bentley improved to 10-7 overall, 8-2 against the East Region and 5-2 in the conference. Southern New Hampshire, held to an .085 hitting percentage, dipped to 11-7 overall and 3-3 NE-10.

Bentley is back at home Thursday night for a 7:30 pm match against American International College.
