After dropping the first set to Mercy, Bentley bounced back to take the second, closing with a 5-1 spurt after the two teams were tied at 20. That surge featured a pair of kills and a block from sophomore Tatiana Froehlich (Newton/Newton North HS), and two blocks and a kill by another second-year player, Simone Silvera (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook HS).

Silvera finished with six blocks, and senior Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) followed with five.

Bentley broke open the third set with a 9-2 burst that changed a tie score into a 19-12 Falcon lead, and Miller assisted on 11 of the Falcons' 13 kills in the fourth set, five of which were made by Buckner.

Sophomore Brenna White (Gardnerville, Nev.) and junior Nicolette Gebhardt (Middletown, N.Y.) led Mercy (2-8) with 16 and 14 kills, respectively.

Freshman Rachel Ringor (Honolulu, Hawaii) led LIU Post (8-7) with eight service aces in the sweep of Bentley, including six in the middle set. The Pioneers hit .304 in the match, including .400 in the first set and .438 in the second.
