Northeast-10 Recognizes Bentley Women’s Track
WALTHAM, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference has recognized the Bentley University women's track and field team as one of its "Teams of the Week".
Throughout the remainder of the spring, the conference will be honoring the seniors from the spring season with this recognition.
The 2019-20 Falcons have nine seniors on the roster:
- Dominique Balzora-Rivert - Sprints/Jumps - Templeton, Mass.
- Paige Fehskens - Middle Distance - Wareham, Mass.
- Kayla Fraser - Jumps - East Longmeadow, Mass.
- Juliana Harrison - Sprints/Jumps - Northford, Conn.
- Aleksandra Jalinskas - Middle Distance - Unionville, Conn.
- Kirsten Lebreux - Sprints - Biddeford, Maine
- Chantel Lewis - Sprints - Bronx, N.Y.
- Abbie Newman - Middle Distance - Hanson, Mass.
- Abby Springfield - Sprints - Northampton, Mass.
"Our senior class embodies what it means to be a student-athlete," said coach Kevin Curtin. "We're graduating an All-Region cross country runner (Fehskens) and three school record holders (Balzora-Rivert, Fraser, Lewis) but more importantly, last year seven of our nine seniors received the 2018-19 D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards.
"For four years, our seniors brought an enthusiasm to the team and helped to foster a culture of improvement and academic excellence and they'll be missed. For my part, I'm still hoping that I'll get one last chance at Commencement to thank them in person for their contributions to our program."
