Getting to Know Bentley women's tennis player Anna Higgins, a freshman from Andover, Massachusetts. Anna had a successful fall season for the Falcons, including winning her debut match without dropping a game, 6-0, 6-0.

At what age did you begin playing tennis?

I started playing tennis in the 4th or 5th grade. Up until halfway through high school I also played soccer. 

Who was your favorite athlete growing up, and who is your favorite athlete now?

My favorite athlete growing up was David Ortiz because I loved the Red Sox (still do!). My current favorite athlete is Serena Williams.

What is the most memorable sporting event that you have attended?

I don't know if it counts but I had the most fun at the 2019 Pats Super Bowl Parade.

What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?

Maui, Hawaii!

What is your pre and post match meal of choice?

Before a match I like to have a granola bar and a banana. My favorite post-match meal is definitely pizza or a cheeseburger.  

Why did you choose to come to Bentley?

I really wanted to study business at a smaller school and I wanted to stay close to my family & friends in MA! I also liked how close it was to Boston without being in Boston.

What is your most memorable moment of your Bentley career so far?

Bid day with Alpha Phi!! And spring break in Florida with the tennis team! 

What have you been doing during this shutdown to stay busy?

Lots of family time, lots of hikes and lots of baking.
