Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Makena Romagnano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) was named the Northeast 10's Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week, for her play last week during the team's Florida trip.

Romagnano won in both singles and doubles in Bentley's 5-2 victory over Immaculata on March 12. She first teamed with sophomore Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) for a 6-3 victory in the No. 1 doubles match.

In singles, Romagnano was 6-1, 6-2 winner in the No. 2 match.

Romagnano went 2-1 in singles and 2-1 in doubles during Bentley's Florida trip.

She is the second straight Falcon that earned the Player of the Week award, and the second straight to be Rookie of the Week. Matuty was the Player of the Week, and Miruna Constantin (Ploiesti, Romania) the Rookie of the Week, on March 10.
