Bentley Sweeps Endicott 7-0 for 14th Win

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Bentley women's tennis team earned its 14th win of the season on Friday afternoon as they swept Endicott College 7-0. Freshman Tiffany Suchanek (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) won two matches on the day for the Falcons.

Only one of the doubles matches were able to finish due to rain, but it was Bentley that took it from the team of Suchanek and Corrie MacLean (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) over Alexi Losano and Alexandra Barmore  in the No. 3 match, by a 8-2 score.

The Falcons then swept the six singles matches, with sophomore Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) winning the No. 1 match over Hayley Barnett, 6-3, 6-0. Suchanek's second win of the day came in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0 over Reilly Fitzgibbons.

Katie Tynan (West Barnstable, Mass./Barnstable) defeated Lauren Rahr 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 3 match, and Katie Brandow (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) cruised past Margot Andreasen in the No. 4 match, 6-0, 6-3. Jill Kamphaus (Walpole, Mass./Ursuline) was a 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 winner over Gillian Freter in the No. 5 position, and Alexia Petruzziello (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) defeated Losano 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot.

With the victory, the Falcons improved 14-8 on the season, which tied a program record for wins in a single-season. They will go for win No. 15 on Sunday at Holy Cross.
