Bentley Cruises Past Saint Michael’s 7-2

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's tennis team cruised to a 7-2 win over visiting Saint Michael's on Wednesday afternoon in a Northeast-10 match.  The Falcons won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles.

Freshman Katie Tynan (West Barnstable, Mass./Barnstable HS) helped lead the charge with two wins on the day for the second straight match. Tynan combined with Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) for a 9-8 (7-4) victory in No. 1 doubles, and Bentley's other doubles winners were Tiffany Suchanek (Waterville, Maine/Waterville HS) and Corrie MacLean (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull HS) in the No. 3 match by an 8-2 score.

Among the winners in singles, Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington HS) rallied from a set down to claim the No. 2 match, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. Tynan claimed her second of the day in the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 6-3, and senior Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) swept to a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 5 match.

The Falcons have now won two in a row and three of four, and their record improved to 3-2 both overall and in the NE-10 Conference with the victory. The team's next match is on Saturday, away at New Haven.
