Bentley Falls to Cross-Town Brandeis 9-0

WALTHAM, Mass. – Cross-town foes Bentley and Brandeis got together Thursday afternoon with the visiting Judges coming away with a 9-0 victory over the Falcons women's tennis team in a non-conference match.

Brandeis got the better of doubles play where they dropped just four games in the three matches. The singles action saw the Judges win all six in straight sets. The No. 1 match had sophomore Haley Cohen clip Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hill) 6-3, 6-4, while Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) went the distance in the first set of her No. 4 match with senior Emily Eska before falling 7-5, 6-2. Sophomore Jill Kamphaus (Walpole, Mass./Ursuline Academy) went the distance with sophomore Charlotte Aaron in the No. 6 match, but dropped it 6-4, 7-5.

The Falcons fell to 10-12 on the season with the defeat. They're set to close out their season on Saturday at home against Simmons.
