Women’s Tennis Sweeps Past Colby-Sawyer 9-0
HANOVER, N.H. – The Bentley women's tennis team earned a hard fought 9-0 sweep over Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday in a non-conference match. Four different players won in both singles and doubles for the Falcons.
Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills), Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington), Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon) and Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) were the quartet that claimed two wins for the Falcons.
In singles, Yamus and Hetyei were straight sets winners in the No. 1 and No. 3 matches, respectively. While Gianino and Fabianski went to three sets in the No. 2 and No. 4 matches.
The win evens Bentley's overall record to 10-10 on the season. They are back on the courts on April 3 at Endicott.
