Bentley Blanks AIC 9-0

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's tennis team earned its fifth win in six matches and improved to its records to 5-2 with a 9-0 shutout of AIC on Tuesday afternoon.

Bentley got it started with strong doubles play. Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) and Corrie MacLean (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) were 8-5 winners in the No. 1 match, while Lexie Hinrichs (Franklin, Mass./Ursuline Academy) and Olivia von Oldenburg (Austin, Texas/Vandegrift) blanked their opponents in the No. 2 match 8-0.

Senior Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills) improved to 5-2 in No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 0-6, 10-8 victory. Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington), Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) and Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) were all easy winners in the No. 2-No. 4 matches. Stowe won her No. 4 match without dropping a game.

Bentley is back in action on Thursday when they host Post in a non-conference match.
