ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Bentley women's tennis team concluded their spring break trip on Saturday at Eckerd College, but suffered a 9-0 defeat to the Tritons in a non-conference match.

Eckerd swept doubles play, winning the No. 1 match 8-3, the No. 2 match 8-4 and the No. 3 match 8-3. In singles, Bentley sophomore Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) took the first set in the No. 3 match against Emily Fridrik 6-4. But Fridrik won the second set 6-3, and the third set tiebreaker 10-4.

Eckerd has now won three straight and improves to 4-4 overall, while the Falcons drop to 7-11. Bentley is back on the courts on Wednesday, March 25 when they host cross-town rival Brandeis.
