Galvin Helps Bentley Women Swim Past Saint Rose for 24th Straight Win

TROY, N.Y. – Freshman Kathryn Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS) won two individual events and participated in a winning relay as the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team stayed unbeaten with a 118-95 victory of The College of Saint Rose Sunday afternoon at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Robison Pool.

The victory in the team's third meet of the season stretched the team's dual winning streak to 24.

Galvin, the only Falcon to double, touched first in both the 50 yard freestyle (25.30) and the 100 free (54.76). She also was part of the 400 medley relay team, combining with senior Arianna Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy) and a pair of sophomores, Emily Sweet (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North HS) and Lucy Slowe (Millis, Mass./Millis HS), for a winning time of 4:05.43.

Bentley's individual winners also included Slowe in the 200 individual medley (2:13.10), Revelas in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.62), senior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) in the 200 free (2:00.40), sophomore Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS) in the 200 butterfly (2:14.69) and freshman Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) in the three-meter diving (205.80).

Slowe and MacNeil were also part of the Falcons' 400 free relay team that took first in 3:45.11.

Bentley, 3-0, will host Brandeis University in the home opener Nov. 15 at 6 pm.
