Kaduboski among Ten Members of Bentley Swim Teams Recognized by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) was recently named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week ending January 20. It was the second straight week and the fifth time in her career she has gained the honor.

Kaduboski was one of ten members of the Bentley men's and women's swim teams who were recognized. Freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS) captured the Women's Rookie of the Week award, classmate Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll and the Falcons swept the two Relay Team of the Week awards.

In dual meets against Babson and Pace, Kaduboski was undefeated in six individual events while posting the conference's two fastest times of the week in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.82, 1:00.89), the 200 back (2:10.44, 2:11.81) and the 200 individual medley (2:13.26, 2:14.01). She also helped Bentley capture the 400 medley relay at Pace in 4:08.61, and was part of a 200 free relay that was third against Babson (1:44.44).

Slowe captured the 100 free in both meets with times of 55.00 seconds versus the Pace Setters and 54.32 against the Babson Beavers. Against Babson, she also placed first in the 50 free (25.49) and was part of two winning relays with times of 1:55.46 in the 200 medley and 1:43.28 in the 200 free. At Pace, she helped the Falcons to a win in the 200 medley relay (1:57.88), was part of a 400 free relay team that was second in 3:49.16 and took second in the 50 free (25.61).

Zoda finished first against both Babson and Pace in the 100 free (48.74, 48.49) and the 200 free (1:47.73, 1:45.94), and also helped the Falcons win a relay event in each. Bentley finished the 200 free against Babson in 1:28.15 and the 400 medley at Pace in 3:38.90. In the 50 free, Zoda was first against Babson (22.23) and second at Pace (22.32). He swam the conference's fastest 200 free of the week and the second fastest 100 free.

The Women's Relay Team of the Week was the Falcons' 400 free relay against Pace that was anchored by Kaduboski and finished first in 4:08.61. Junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) led off and was followed by classmate Ari Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy) and freshman Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS).

 The Men's Relay Team of the Week was awarded to a Falcon quartet that captured the 400 free relay at Pace in 3:17.04. Junior Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy) led off and was followed into the pool by classmate Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS), sophomore Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn./Milford HS) and senior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS).
