Bentley Women Sweep Bridgewater on Senior Day to Complete 11-0 Dual Season

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) and junior Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) each won a pair of events as the Bentley University  women's swimming and diving team won all 13 events in a Senior Day meet against Bridgewater State at the Dana Center pool Wednesday night. The final score was 142-88.

Bentley extended its dual winning streak to 21 and finished this year's dual schedule a perfect 11-0. It's the Falcons' first undefeated record since 2010-11 and fourth in program history.

Viator, in her final Dana Center competition, swam to victory in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:53.43) and the 100 free (56.36 seconds).

Logozzo swept the diving events as she amassed 235.65 points from the one-meter board and 222.97 from the three-meter.

Other seniors who gained Senior Day victories were Kate Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:12.71), Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) in the 200 free (1:59.67) and Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS) in the 500 free (5:23.90).

All three closed out their home careers by teaming with Viator in the 200 free relay (1:43.33). Kaduboski and Jameson were also part of the Falcons' winning 400 medley relay team (4:15.44).

Bentley's other winners were freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS) in the 50 free (25.40), classmate Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS) in the 100 butterfly (1:01.15), junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) in the 100 back (1:03.51) and sophomore Selin Karadeniz (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington HS) in the 100 breast (1:12.55).

 Bentley will spend the next two weeks preparing for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, which will be held at WPI Feb. 7-10.
