Bentley Women Stretch Winning Streak to 9 with 148-82 Win at St. Michael’s

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Senior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston, Mass./Tahanto Reg. HS), sophomore Brooke Jameson (Bedford, Mass./Bedford HS) and freshman Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./ Wethersfield HS) each won two individual events for the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team Saturday against St. Michael's College at the Ross Sports Center.

Their efforts in the 148-84 victory helped Bentley run its dual winning streak to nine and improve to 9-1 on the season. St. Michael's, 5-1, saw its winning streak end at eight.

McGahie posted a time of 18:57.51 while capturing the 1650 yard freestyle and also reached the wall first in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in 2:35.20. Jameson swam to victory in both the 200 free (2:02.99) and the 500 free (5:30.85).

Logozzo doubled in the two one-meter diving events, achieving a combined score of 357.25.

The other individual winners for Bentley were senior Nicole Hellstern (Southbury, Conn./ Pomperaug HS) in the 50 free (26.80), junior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis C. Maloney HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:14.29) and junior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) in the 200 butterfly (2:18.87).

Bentley's next action is Wednesday with a home meet against Bridgewater State (6 pm).
