SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Sophomore Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) became the first women's swimming All-Americas in Bentley University on Friday after impressive performances at the NCAA Division II Championships at the Palo Alto Natatorium.

Hodsdon achieved the feat first, placing sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.65. Shortly thereafter, Kaduboski did her one better, finishing fifth in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.47.

Both Falcon standouts qualified for the evening finals with school record-setting performances in the morning prelims.

Hodsdon had the fourth best qualifying time in the 100 breast with her time of 1:03.50 breaking the school record she set last month by 1.28 seconds.  Kaduboski was number two in the prelims in the 200 fly, swimming a 2:01.34 to best her own school record by 1.7 seconds.  It was the sixth time in the NCAAs that she has broken a school record.

Kaduboski also competed in the 100 backstroke Saturday morning and finished 23rd with her time of 57.78 seconds improving on the Bentley standard she set last month by two-hundredths of a second.

Bentley currently stands in 20th place overall in the team standings with 34 points. The only East Region school with more is Southern Connecticut State.

The championships conclude on Saturday with Kaduboski, Hodsdon and senior diver Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) all scheduled to compete.
