Kaduboski Earns Honorable Mention All-America Honors in 100 Fly

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Bentley University senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) entered the pool twice on Thursday at the NCAA Division II Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Palo Alto Natatorium and came away with  four school records as well as honorable mention All-America honors.

Kaduboski finished tenth of 41 in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 56.12 seconds in the consolation finals. That broke the school record of 56.32 that she set earlier in the day while finishing ninth in the prelims, missing the championship finals by 0.21 seconds. The former standard of 57.12 seconds was set by Kaduboski at the Northeast-10 Championships last month.

In both races, the Falcon standout also broke the 50 meter butterfly record of 26.76 seconds that she had set as a freshman. She went out in 26.37 seconds in the prelims and in 26.21 in the evening portion of the meet.

Her tenth place finish was improvement of 15 places from her performance in the 2010 NCAA championships, and it marked the second time in her career she's been an honorable mention All-America.

Senior Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) also competed for Bentley on Thursday and she was 21st in the one-meter diving with a score of 304.50.   She'll finish her career on Saturday with the three-meter event.

The championships continue on Friday with Kaduboski and sophomore Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) scheduled to compete for Bentley.
