SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Bentley University senior Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) was one of 24 divers to survive a pre-qualifying diving meet Tuesday and earn the right to compete in the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships later this week.

Competing at the Palo Alto Natatorium, Travers earned her ticket to the championships by placing 18th in a field of 30 in the three-meter diving Tuesday afternoon. She posted a score of 203.70. Her best performance came in her final dive, a back one-and-a-half somersault with a one-and-a-half twist. She recorded 40.80 points in the one.

Sophomore Shelly D'Aleo (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) had Bentley's best performance in the one-meter competition Tuesday morning, placing 27th of 36 with a 192.75.
