WALTHAM, Mass. – Despite dominating in both shots and possession of the ball, the Bentley women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 play.

Bentley had an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal, 9-0 in the 2^nd half, and a 10-0 edge in corner kicks for the game, plus a large majority of possession in the 2^nd half. However, senior Abby Pelon scored twice in the first half, and junior Emily Durette scored in the second half for Saint Michael's.

Pelon scored twice inside the 14 minutes to stake the Purple Knights to an early 2-0. She first struck in the 8^th minute with a long range effort that snuck inside the near post after it bounced in front of the goal.

Pelon then struck again six minutes later after being setup by midfielder Brett Matzke, who chipped a pass over the top of the Bentley defense. Pelon got on the end of that ball, and was left with a one-on-one situation that she converted to put the Knights up 2-0.

Bentley's best chance in the first half came from sophomore Victoria Montemorano (Victor, N.Y./Victor) in the 42^nd minute, after she had just come on as a sub minutes earlier. Montemorano ripped a shot from the right wing that just banged off the crossbar and just missed the inside of the net.

In the 77^th minute, sophomore Kelly Donlon (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney) had Bentley's best chance of the 2^nd half after a pass from Stephanie Helin (Manchester, Conn./East Catholic) saw her shot from 22 yards go just over the crossbar.

Saint Michael's keeper Megan LeCours made 11 saves to earn the win.

The Falcons drop to 4-4 overall and 2-4 NE10 with the defeat. They will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they visit Franklin Pierce
