Bentley Falls to No. 17 Saint Rose 1-0 in Season Finale

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Bentley University women's soccer team hung tough with No. 17 Saint Rose in its season finale, but ultimately lost a 1-0 decision in Northeast-10 action Saturday afternoon.

Despite being outshot by a wide margin the Falcons held the conference's highest scoring team mostly in check, conceding only a 51st minute goal to junior Lauren Taylor, her first of the season.

Falcons keeper Christiana Hynds (West Roxbury, Mass./Boston Latin) made five saves to finish the season with 105, tied for second in the conference and just one behind the league leader at the end of the season.

Though Hynds kept them in the game, Bentley could not crack the Saint Rose defense, which posted its 11th clean sheet of the season.

With the win, Saint Rose claimed a share of the NE-10 regular season title and will go into the postseason with a record of 15-1-2 overall and 12-1-2 in the conference. Bentley finishes its season at 5-9-3 overall and 3-9-3 in the NE-10.
