Bentley Falls on Road to Southern New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Bentley women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Southern New Hampshire Tuesday night at Larkin Field in Manchester, N.H. Senior Laura Muise (Newburyport, Mass./Newburyport) scored for the Falcons in the 68th minute.

Bentley kept the hosts off the scoreboard for almost the entire first half until senior Daniela Abruzzese slipped one in for the Penmen in the 44th minute to give the hosts a lift heading into halftime.

SNHU was quick to double its lead in the second half as senior Kaleigh Roberge scored in the 51st minute, and Ashley Jaskula added on in the 60th minute.

Muise pulled one back for the Falcons in the 68th minute, heading in a free kick from distance from junior Katie Moroney (North Andover, Mass./North Andover).

The Penmen (7-3-1, 5-3-1 NE-10) have now won three straight. Bentley (3-5-2, 1-5-2 NE-10) is back in action on Saturday when they host Adelphi with first kick scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
