Women’s Soccer Falls at Pace 3-1

BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. – Pace received first half goals from Jillian Ferro and Brittany Trymbulak, and despite an 84th minute goal from Bentley freshman Sam Ford (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side), were able to hang on for a 3-1 win over the Falcons on Saturday in a Northeast-10 women's soccer match.

The Setters went ahead on Ferro's goal in the 22nd minute. For Ferro, a sophomore forward, it was her fifth goal of the season. Pace doubled its lead not long after on Trymbulak's goal in the 31st minute.

That was the last goal until well into the second half when Ford pulled one back for Bentley in the 84th minute, unassisted. It was the first goal of Ford's career.

But that was the closest Bentley could get, as Ferro netted her second of the afternoon in the 88th minute to give Pace a 3-1 lead.

Bentley (3-4-2, 1-4-2 NE-10) is back on the pitch Tuesday night at Southern New Hampshire.
