On April 30, 2016 the Bentley women's lacrosse team took on the University of New Haven. Not only was it a Top 20 matchup, with the Falcons ranked No. 17 and the Chargers No. 9, but it was a game with major playoff implications. It was the final game of the regular season, and the winner would be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 playoffs. New Haven entered the game with a one game lead over Bentley in the standings, with a 10-2 record to Bentley's 9-3.

The Falcons emerged victorious that day 12-8, behind 11 saves from senior goalie Lauren Ochs and five goals by senior Kelsey Howard.

It was the 10th win in a row for Bentley, which set a new program record. They went on to defeat Stonehill 9-8 in the first round of the NE10 Playoffs for an 11th straight victory, before their run was ended by Le Moyne in the semifinals.

The Falcons finished with a 13-6 record, which tied the program record for wins in a season.
