Women’s Lacrosse Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad; Keegan Named to Academic Honor Roll

Waltham, Mass. - The Bentley University women's lacrosse team earned Academic Honor Squad status for the 2018-19 year from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Recent graduate Jillian Keegan was named to the Division II IWLCA Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season.

To qualify as an Honor Squad, a team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. To qualify for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Keegan graduated from Bentley in May with a bachelor's degree in economics-finance and a minor in computer science. A team captain this past season and a key player on defense during her four year career, she played in 46 career games and started 30. In her senior season she started 15 games, and was among the team leaders in ground balls and caused turnovers.

As a team Bentley tied for 3rd in the NE10 and went 11-6 overall. They were ranked 19th in the final IWLCA poll of the season.
