Glavin Named NE10 Player of the Week

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) has been named the NE10's Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Glavin combined for 10 goals and two assists in a pair of wins for the Falcons last week, over Saint Michael's, 16-10 on April 2, and Southern Connecticut, 15-8 on April 6.

Glavin went for a career high seven goals in the win over Purple Knights, and also pulled down eight draw controls. She then followed that up with a three goal, two assist effort in the victory over the Owls, and also contributed five ground balls and three draw controls.

In Saturday's game, she surpassed the 100 career points milestone, in just her 25th game.

The sophomore is currently 5th in the NE10 in goals on the season with 38, while ranking 5th in ground balls (29) and 8th in draw controls (60).

Bentley, ranked 19th by the IWLCA and 13th by US Lacrosse, visits Adelphi No. 2 Adelphi tomorrow night at 6:00 pm.
