No. 1 Adelphi Tops No. 20 Bentley 15-4 Despite Bresler’s 13 Saves

WALTHAM, Mass. – No. 1 ranked Adelphi improved to 10-0 in the Northeast-10 with a 15-4 victory over the No. 20 ranked Bentley women's lacrosse team. Sophomore goalie Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton), named the NE10 Goalie of the Week today, made 13 saves.

Four different players led the way offensively for the Panthers. Attacker Kole Pollock at four goals, attacker Alison Johnson had three, and midfielders Chelsea Abreu and Beth Ann Pierce each had three as well.

For Bentley, freshman Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) had two goals, and senior Ciara Morley (Irvington, N.Y./Irvington) and junior MaryKate Staines (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) each scored once.

Bentley played tough defense throughout the afternoon, but were also held in check by the Adelphi defense and goalie Emma Lemanski, which limited the Bentley offense to 15 shots on goal, 11 of which Lemanski saved.

The Falcons' three game winning streak came to an end, and their record dropped to 7-3 overall and 6-2 NE10. They'll look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they host Pace at 12:00 pm.
