WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior attacker Jackie Jahelka scored six goals to lead No. 2 seed Adelphi past No. 7 seed Bentley 16-1 in the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Championship quarterfinals on Wednesday.
The Panthers, who are ranked No. 3 in Division II, improved to 16-1 on the season. They will face either New Haven or Assumption in the semifinals on Saturday.
Adelphi, which has won the last three NE10 titles, led 5-0 after the first five-plus minutes on its way to the victory. Jahelka scored two of its first three goals, then added three out of Adelphi's last five before halftime to lead 12-0 at the break.
Senior Ciara Morley (Irvington, N.Y./Irvington) scored Bentley's goal at 20:35 of the 2nd second half to get the Falcons on the board.
Bentley's season came to an end at 8-9 overall.
