Bio

Madi Shaw is in her second year as the graduate assistant coach for the Bentley softball program. She is a member of the Bentley’s Emerging Leaders MBA program with a concentration in marketing, and is projected to graduate in May of 2020.

Before Bentley, Shaw was an infielder for Fordham University's softball team. Shaw suffered from injuries her freshman year, but performed for the team the following three years. By the end of her career, Shaw finished within the top three of all three triple slash categories, ranking second in both on base percentage (.449) and slugging percentage (.646) and third with a .342 career batting average. She also finished third all-time with 157 career RBIs, fourth with 39 home runs, and seventh with 89 walks. Shaw is the current record holder for both single-season RBI's (74) and multi-RBI games (21).  

At Fordham, Shaw won the Atlantic 10 conference championship each year, resulting in four NCAA appearances. In 2017, Shaw was awarded NFCA First Team All-Region, after being voted to the second team in 2016. She was also on the A10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2017 and 2018. 

Shaw has had previous coaching experience, working as the head coach of the 2017 Mass Drifters Softball 18U Navy team, where she led her team to a Pony Nationals championship.

In high school, Shaw led the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans to their first Division 1 state title as a senior, hitting .537 with five homers and 20 RBI. She was awarded Second Team All-America as a senior after taking home First Team honors as a junior.

Shaw is the daughter of Dave and Michele Shaw, and is older sister to brother Bryce, who is currently a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy, and is a member of their football team."
