Korotsky Selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior left fielder Stacey Korotsky (Raynham/ Bridgewater-Raynham Reg. HS) has been selected for the 2020 NCAA Division II Academic All-District 1 softball team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Korotsky hit .357 for the 7-7 Falcons before the season was curtained by the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March. It was the third straight year she's led the team in hitting, following averages of .328 in 2018 and .316 last season.

This spring, Korotsky finished with 15 hits, 11 runs scored, 10 RBI and a .471 on base percentage while batting in the number two slot in the lineup. She had a pair of three-hit games on March 9, against Dominican (N.Y.) and Slippery Rock.

A two-year captain who started 124 of a possible 134 games as a Falcon, Korotsky finished with a career average of .302. She ranks third in program history in career singles (123) as well as ninth in hits (126) and runs scored (65).

In the classroom, Korotsky has achieved a 3.32 grade point average while majoring in accountancy. She also had minors in computer information systems and finance

Korotsky and the rest of the Academic All-District team will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
