Getting to Know Bentley softball's Lindsey Allen, a junior catcher/shortstop from Worcester, Massachusetts. Lindsey is a marketing major, with a minor in psychology. She has played in 87 career games in her two-plus seasons at Bentley, including 41 of 42 during the 2019 season. She was hitting .304 with 7 RBI in 2020 before the season was cut short. She is also involved with SAAC at Bentley.

If you could go out to dinner with any four people that are alive today, who would you choose?

I would go to dinner with Tom Brady, Adam Sandler, Sky Brown, and Lizzo.

What is your favorite restaurant, either around Boston or in your hometown?

My favorite restaurant is a hibachi restaurant at home called Osaka in Shrewsbury, MA.

What is the best sporting event you have ever attended. Who is your favorite athlete, either past or present?

The most memorable sporting event I have been to was a Patriots vs Jets game two years ago (coldest regular season game in franchise history). My favorite athlete is easily Tom Brady.

If you could pick one destination to travel to, what would it be?

I have always wanted to go to the Softball Women's College World Series.  

What were the biggest factors in your decision to attend Bentley

The biggest factor in my decision to attend Bentley was the high job placement rate.

How are you planning to keep your athletic skills sharp this summer?

To stay sharp this summer, I have been running daily and doing at home workouts.

What made you start playing the sport you play now, and what other sports did you play growing up?

I began playing softball when I came home from elementary school with a minor league softball sign-ups flyer and begged my dad to sign me up. I played basketball and ran cross country in high school in addition to softball.
