Northeast-10 Recognizes Bentley Softball as “Team of the Week”

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference has recognized Bentley University women's softball as one of its "Teams of the Week".

Since the cancellation of the spring season last month, the conference has been honoring the seniors from spring athletic teams with this recognition.

The 2020 Falcons had seven seniors on the roster:

Korotsky (126), Slavin (115) and Romero (108) are three of the 25 players in program history with at least 100 career hits, and all had a good chance of finishing in the top ten if their seasons weren't curtailed. Casalino concluded her career with the best fielding percentage in program history, .995. Palazzolo and Serafini both appeared in over 80 career games, and Fitzpatrick pitched in 54 contests during her four seasons, with 11 wins and five saves.

"This senior class was my first recruiting class at Bentley University," said coach Terry McDonough. "They are very special. They were the backbone of this team and helped shape the program to where it is today. The seniors facilitated relationships that kept this team connected. We all believe in "TEAM vs. I = FAMILY & SUCCESS. They'll be missed."

Bentley posted a 7-7 record down in Florida, including six wins in the last eight games, before the Pandemic brought the season to an end.
