Bentley University sophomore left fielder Shannon Connor (West Haven, Conn./West Haven HS) has been selected to the All-Northeast-10 Conference softball third team, and the NE-10 All-Rookie team includes Bentley freshman lefty Kelly Ferris (Seymour, Conn./Seymour HS).

Chances are that Bentley University senior catcher Erica Thibodeau (Cohoes, N.Y./Shaker HS) will never forget her final collegiate at bat as a member of the Falcon softball team. Thibodeau drilled a two-run homer to left in the top of the eighth inning, breaking a 1-1 tie and propelling Bentley to a 3-1 win over St. Michael’s in the non-conference portion of a season-ending doubleheader at Doc Jacobs Field.

Bentley University and UMass-Lowell battled to a 4-4 nine-inning draw, with the Falcons stranding the bases loaded in both extra innings, before darkness prevailed in the second half of a Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at Bentley. The visitors took the opener, 7-0, behind the four-hit pitching of freshman Marielle Handley (Durham, Conn.).
