Bentley Men Finish 5th in Northeast-10 Championships; Cadorette & Dean Earn All-Conference Honors

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Led by sophomore Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) and senior Tom Dean (Portland, Maine/Deering HS), the Bentley University Falcons finished fifth in the 2015 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Cross Country Championships, contested Sunday morning at St. Michael's College.

Bentley, one of only two teams to place its entire top seven in the top 35, totaled 115 points, finishing five back of fourth-place Southern New Hampshire. The top three were American International College (48), Stonehill College (72) and Franklin Pierce (81).

Cadorette and Dean were Bentley's first two runners to reach the finish with Cadorette 11th in 25:47.3 for 8,000 meters, an increase of 28 places over his 2014 performance, and Dean 18th in 25:56.8. They represented the Falcons on the All-Conference team, earning second and third team accolades, respectively.

Junior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS), making his season debut, was Bentley's number three runner, placing 26th in 26:12.9. Four of the next nine were also Falcons with freshman Cody Murphy (Dunbarton, N.H./Goffstown, N.H.) 28th (26:14.3), junior Eric Alatalo (Wilmington/ Wilmington HS) 32nd (26:20.5), senior David Cooper (Woburn/Woburn HS) 33rd (26:22.0) and sophomore Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich HS) 35th (26:23.4).

AIC had the top two finishers with junior John Chirchir and Leakey Kipkosgei separated by only one second, with Chirchir's winning time 24:55.9.

Bentley will return to action Nov. 8 with the NCAA Division II East Regional in Hopkinton, N.H.
