Getting to Know Men's Tennis Player Connor Aulson

Getting to Know men's tennis player Connor Aulson, from Groveland, Massachusetts. A junior at Bentley, Connor is a double major in accounting, and media arts and society. He is a two-time, first team All-Conference selection in singles for his freshman and sophomore seasons, and he was also named to the NE10 All-Rookie team.

At what age did you begin playing tennis?

I started tennis when I was five and a half years old. I also played baseball, basketball, and soccer but always loved tennis the best.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up, and who is your favorite athlete now?

My favorite athlete has always been Roger Federer because of the way he is both talented and classy.

What is the most memorable sporting event that you have attended?

Two years ago I went to a Boston Bruins game and sat in Patrice Bergeron's box seats.

What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?

A couple of my close friends and I always go up to Waterville Valley, NH in the summertime and have a lot of fun playing tennis, golf, and disc golf.  We also take a chairlift up to the top of a small mountain where we proceed to hike to this creek we like to jump into.

What is your pre and post match meal of choice?

Before matches I like having eggs, bananas and protein bars and after matches I like having any kind of Italian food or steamed broccoli.

Why did you choose to come to Bentley?

I chose Bentley because it provided the perfect blend of academics and athletics, and I really liked the campus atmosphere.

What is your most memorable moment of your Bentley career so far?

My favorite moment was competing in the NCAA Division II tournament last year.

What have you been doing during this shutdown to stay busy?

I've been studying hard for my classes and have been running a lot.  I am planning on competing in several Spartan races later this summer, so I am trying anything I can to get outdoors and stay active.
