Bentley Drops Florida Opener to No. 25 Embry-Riddle
Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Bentley men's tennis team was defeated by Embry-Riddle 7-0 in the opening match of the team's spring break trip on Sunday.
The Eagles, who are ranked 25th in the most recent ITA Division II men's tennis national poll, improved to 7-1 on the season.
The Falcons saw their record go to 4-4 on the season after their fourth match of the spring season.
In the singles matches, freshman Tawan Rattaseri (Bangkok, Thailand) was Bentley's top performer. In the No. 6 match, he pushed his opponent Andrej Omeragic to three sets. Omeragic won the first set 6-2, but Rattaseri responded with a 6-3 victory in the second set. The two then battled in the decisive third set tiebreak, but Omeragic claimed it, 10-8.
Bentley will continue its Florida swing on Monday when they take on Division I Lehigh at the USTA National Campus.
