Aulson Impresses for Bentley at Season Opening Bryant Invitational

Smithfield, R.I. – Junior Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) impressed with three wins for the Bentley men's tennis team this weekend at its season opening competition at the Bryant Invitational.

The Falcons were competing against two Division I teams over two days, the hosts Bryant and Boston University.

On day one on Saturday, Aulson and classmate Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) each won in singles against players from Bryant. Auslon defeated Jorge Ortiz-Garcia 6-2, 6-3, and Weitz defeated Nick Lorenz 7-5, 6-2. In doubles, the pair combined for a 6-3 win over Bryant's team of Ortiz-Garcia and Grant Pertile.

Bentley's team of Kendall Au (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) and freshman Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) also claimed a doubles win, 6-4 over Bryant's team of Andrew Corrado and Teague Burger.

On Sunday's day two, Bentley won two doubles matches against BU. Aulson and Soifer defeated Max Hartenstein and Pete Siozios 6-2. Freshmen Pedro Diavan (Cuiaba, Brazil) and Tawan Rattaseri (Bangkok, Thailand) got the better of Marc Sable and Jon-Kyle Tan by a 6-3 score.

In singles action against Bryant, Diavan defeated Matt Dubois in three sets, 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 for his second win of the weekend.
