Waltham, Mass. – Four players from the Bentley University men's tennis team earned spots on the NE10 All-Conference teams for the 2018-19 season; sophomores Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket), Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) and Mauricio Fadul (Key Biscayne, Fla.) and freshman Alexander Novins (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley).

Aulson is on the first team for No. 4 singles, Weitz the second team for No. 2 singles and Novins the second team for No. 5 singles. Fadul and Novins were both named to the All-Rookie team.

The All-Conference placements are based on regular season records in NE10 matches only. A player must have played at least 50 percent of his matches in a specific flight to be eligible for All-Conference consideration in that flight.

Aulson went 5-1 in NE10 matches at the No. 4 position, and overall had a singles record of 7-1 within the NE10. Of those seven wins, four were against fellow NE10 playoff teams. Overall, Aulson leads the team with 16 singles wins so far.

Weitz posted a 6-2 record in NE10 matches at No. 2. Three of his wins came against playoff teams Le Moyne, Stonehill and Franklin Pierce. Overall, Weitz has the second most singles wins on the team with 13.

Novins went 3-0 at No. 5, as part of an overall singles record of 5-1 within NE10 play. He's on a three match winning streak entering the postseason, with victories against Franklin Pierce, Saint Michael's and Adelphi. That is in addition to earlier season wins against Assumption and Stonehill.

Fadul was named to the All-Rookie team with a 3-0 record in NE10 singles matches, all played at No. 6. He's posted victories over Le Moyne, Franklin Pierce and Merrimack. In doubles he has a 4-1 conference record, playing mostly with Nick Hatcher.

The quartet helped Bentley go 15-7 overall in the regular season and 7-2 in the NE10 to earn the No. 2 seed and a bye to the semifinals of the conference playoffs. They will face either Merrimack or Stonehill on Thursday.
