Bentley Falls to BC in Non-Conference Match

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Bentley men's tennis took on a Division I opponent in Boston College on Sunday in match that saw the Eagles win 7-0 in non-conference play.

The match came just one day after Bentley defeated NE10 rival Franklin Pierce 6-1 on Senior Day.

Against the Eagles, senior Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex) and sophomore Mauricio Fadul (Key Biscayne, Fla.) played close matches in singles. Fuca went to a tiebreak in the first set of the No. 2 match against BC's Conor Mullins, then won four games in the 2nd set in a match that went 7-6, 6-4 to Mullins. Fadul won the first set in the No. 5 match against Nicolas deQuesada 6-2, but deQuesada rallied to win the next two sets 6-3, 10-3.

In doubles, Fuca teamed up with classmate Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) in the No. 1 match and sophomores Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) and Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) teamed up in the No. 2 match. Fadul and freshman Alex Novins (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) partnered in the No. 3 match which did not finish.

Bentley (12-6, 5-1 NE10) will return to NE10 action on Wednesday when they host Saint Michael's.
