Bentley Closes Out Florida Trip with 6-3 Win over Bloomsburg

 

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Bentley men's tennis team finished its Florida trip with a 4-1 record after they dispatched Bloomsburg 6-3 on Saturday at the USTA National Campus.

Sophomore Kendall Au (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) and freshman Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) each won two matches on the day to lead the Falcons to the win, while freshman Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) won again in singles to improve to 11-0 in dual match singles play.

Au teamed up with Nick Hatcher (Danbury, Conn./Immaculate) for an 8-3 win in the No. 3 doubles match, while Aulson combined with George Samander (Willemstad, Curacao) for an 8-4 victory in the No. 1 doubles match.

In singles, Aulson was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in No. 4, while Au took the No. 5 match 6-2, 6-2. Weitz won the No. 3 match 6-1, 6-2.

The Falcons will return north with an overall record of 9-4 after a successful Florida trip. They will now get into the Northeast-10 portion of their schedule, starting next Saturday at Le Moyne.
